Chicken Fried Steak

Chicken Fried Steak, known to the locals as CFS, is a Texas mainstay. is a cut of beef known as cube steak, which is tenderized. Traditionally it is pan-fried, but I am sure deep-fried is a common method, as it seemed that our chicken fried steaks were cooked this way. But what do I know. The breading had become a big, beautiful, and tasty crust. Covered with creamy gravy, this meal today was awesome. The steak was truly tender. Actually, having been to Cafe Creme in Port St. Lucie, a German restaurant, I was reminded of wiener schnitzel.
