Just Down the Road in Elgin . . .

is Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse. While we did not sample their famous hot sausage, we did try some more brisket and smoked turket breast to go. One of the cool aspects of Texas BBQ is that you can order the meat by the pound. Here we ordered a 1/4 pound of each for $5 total. we ordered it to go and ate it during the car ride to Lake Somerville. I might have to relocate to Austin.
