This ain't no house of scotch, at least not any more. It is the House of G-d's Favorite Fried Chicken! Easily among the elite we have experienced throughout our travels. I was here with my father in 2007.

Cemetery
Cemetaries in New Orleans are above ground, typically mausoleums. Why? The city is below sea level; therefore, a flood would physically cause these dead to rise, to rise to the surface of the water. Can't believe there isn't some movie about hurricane zombie apocalypse in New Orleans.
And for Dessert . . .
Creole Bread Pudding Soufflé, "The Queen of Creole Desserts!" Warm whiskey sauce added tableside. Before and after photos.
Pecan Crusted Gulf Fish
A Commander's Palace Favorite - Prosecco poached Louisiana crabmeat, spiced pecans, and crushed corn sauce. Once again, transcendent.
Cochon De Lait Eggs Benedict
Steve had this for his entree at Commander's. 12 hour barbecue shoulder of pork over cheddar and bacon biscuits with poached eggs, ripped herb salad, natural jus, and herb hollandaise. Too good.
Sunday Jazz Brunch
Commander's Palace is a must in New Orleans. They even have a dress code. A jazz trio goes room to room throughout the restaurant playing classic jazz and requests. Four star all the way.

Live Jazz Cruises
Four hours of live music, sceneic viewd, bad food and drunk people. No thank you. We have better things to do.
The Local Bubble Machine
Certainly an unusual sight to behold, but this photo of a bubble machine filling Bourbon Street in the French Quarter seemed completely normal here. This place is a non stop party.
Royal House Oysters
Steve and I walked throughout the French Quarter (New Orleans) Saturday evening. For now, all I want to say that it is one crazy scene. Our top two choices for oysters having massive waiting lines, we ended up here. Oysters were very large and meaty, but could have a stronger flavor.
The Shed
Ocean Springs, MS. We split the sampler platter, which had three pieces of seven different types of BBQ. I thought the sausage was among the best of all of our travels. Same for the potato salad.

Scarborough Rest Area
A rest area on I-10 with a 2 mile entrance ramp? Why yes, it does exist! And the 2 mile exit ramp to reenter I-10 exists, too!

Russ & Daughters
Smoked fish . . . oh, smoked fish . . . forgive the Treasure Coast for its ignorance, and spread, spread your bliss! Spread your bliss like cream cheese (non-whipped, of course) on a toasted split everything (preferably salt) New York bagel! Fish and fish oil and material smokiness, spread your bliss, spread your bliss! Oh, family, I will only return if I can spread this bliss, spread ths bliss! No more time to sing; time to eat!
My first stop after deboarding at LGA on Friday morning was Russ & Daughters. Check out the photos of their displays, diplays holding treasured goods, even treasured more than the over-looked herring. This place is a g-dsend. This will also be the last place I stop at Wednesday so I can spread, spread the bliss amongst mi familia.
