Follow my culinary adventures as I explore different regions and cuisines across the United States and, hopefully, around the world. After swearing off four-star restaurants and overly complex dishes, I now seek the pleasure of simple foods that represent the different cultures that, in the end, make us all who we are. Nah. I'm just looking for some good, cheap grub so I can act silly while taking photos and sharing part of me with family and friends!

On Our Way to TEXAS!
It's that time of year again: spring break road trip in search of BBQ, this time in Texas. Steve and I will be exploring Texas Hill Country and the cities of Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. While BBQ is always on our minds, we will be sampling Tex-Mex, Mexican, native Texan cuisine (i.e. chicken fried steak!), and maybe even some seafood from the Gulf. Expect a plethora of pictures, close-ups of yummy brisket, snapping sausages, and maybe even some ribs, along with any non-food related adventures we may take in Hill Country or the big cities (i.e. Our first baseball game at Minute Maid Park, SF Giants vs. Houston Astros!). Until then we will enjoy standing in line at security check points, carrying luggage, luxuriating in our airplane thrones (I have a window seat!), renting a vehicle, and checking in at our hotel, with maybe, just maybe a food stop along the way. See y'all on the other side! Hey! I'm speaking like a native Texan already!
