Follow my culinary adventures as I explore different regions and cuisines across the United States and, hopefully, around the world. After swearing off four-star restaurants and overly complex dishes, I now seek the pleasure of simple foods that represent the different cultures that, in the end, make us all who we are. Nah. I'm just looking for some good, cheap grub so I can act silly while taking photos and sharing part of me with family and friends!

Randol's - Lafayette's Family Restaurant on Monday
Monday night dinner at Randol's - crabcake appetizer (amazing!), the fried crawfish platter, bread pudding, a couple of cocktails, and if that sounds like a lot, it was. I paid the price the next day. Dinner was very good, live Cajun music, and lots of people dancing the "Cajun two -step" or whatever. - Arthur Matluck

Thanks for making me hungry again! I loved the pictures and commentary. How many pounds did you collectively gain on the journey? Or, maybe I should do the Southern polite way of asking--did you learn more Cajun words than pounds acquired?
ReplyDeleteFrom, you previous road trip to Tom Jenkins...
Just look at that bread pudding. I am honestly salivating at the thought...and the whipped cream. Oh, The whipped cream!
